installation using pendrive

I have installed linux operating system using pen drive, machine installed succsessfully,but without pendrvie not able to boot. do i needs to change in grub.conf. please with the steps.

Hi Rajiv,

I would suggest you to paste your grub.conf here if possible. Also check the first root device is correct in grub.conf.

Check for
splashimage=(hd0,0)  and recall where you have installed boot loader. If you use pen drive in normal case it get detected as sda/sdb also, if you have scsi or sata drive it gets detected as sda/sdb so when both are connected you disk drive will be "sda" and pen drive will be "sdb".
